Wedding/Event Liability Policy
Most venues now require you to purchase a wedding / event liability policy to protect the property from damage costs, as well as reduce the venue’s liability if someone gets injured at the event. Check your contract for event liability requirements.
Event insurance works by protecting you in case there is an accident at your event that you are found legally liable for that injures people or damages the venue.
Most Policies Include:
Cancellation, which allows you to file a claim to get reimbursed for nonrefundable deposits. If you purchase cancellation insurance, you won’t be covered for getting “Cold Feet”. Cancellation coverage is specifically for things that are outside of your control that force you to cancel the event.
